Abstract

This article explores the comparative study of weather-related idioms in English and Uzbek languages. The main objective is to identify similarities and differences in how both languages reflect people’s perception of nature and culture through idiomatic expressions. The article discusses the linguistic and cultural functions of idioms, their symbolic meanings, and their connection to national mentality. It also demonstrates how climate and lifestyle influence the formation of idioms. The results of the analysis show that studying idioms helps learners develop a deeper understanding of language, culture, and intercultural communication.
